Wonderfully, the Te Ara Ātea cultural facility opened in November after 12 years of planning.
Located in Rolleston, the new facility encompasses 2000 square metres of floorspace, along with a beautiful library, museum, gallery, various performances spaces, a sensory garden and plenty more entertainment.
Just 20 minutes from the city centre, Rolleston Library offers an endless selection of books, magazines, reference material, a large video projection wall and more to keep bookworms and workers on their feet.
Additionally, the modern spaces at Te Ara Ātea in Christchurch can be booked for meetings, presentations and performances. Equally, there is a magnificent outdoor sensory garden where visitors can explore the natural world, learn how to grow vegetables and trees and more.
If you get hungry, Urban Espresso café caters an array of fresh food dishes and hearty coffee. Likewise, there are plans to add a shopping and hospitality centre to the facility in the future.
Certainly, Te Ara Ātea cultural facility in Christchurch is an excellent quiet and reflective hangout as well as creative hub for enthusiasts.
