Karen’s Diner is no ordinary restaurant. The TikTok and Instagram sensation went viral this past year for its hilarious terrible service. From customers being called ‘bitches, losers and c*nts’ to waiting staff’s incredibly rude attitudes and eye rolls at you…it’s the most memorable and instagrammable dining experience globally.
Delightfully, Karen’s Diner opened in Auckland on September 22. From the moment you step inside, you’ll be cussed at, staff will talk sh*t about you in front of you and so much more absurdness that’s unlike any other service you’ve experienced. Additionally, diners are encouraged to ‘complain until the cows come home because we literally don’t care’.
THE FOOD
Despite the unfriendly service, Karen’s Diner still offers a delicious extensive menu filled with themed burgers, tasty sides, fries and even a range of unique cocktails.
Menu highlights include 11 different burger choices accompanied by scrumptious fries such as the I Want To See A Manager with wagyu beef and the Tradie Karen Breakfast Burger. Plus, there are some vegan numbers. Meanwhile, Karen’s Chicken Bingo Wings and Hot Dogs are serious crowd-pleasers.
Certainly, the American diner experience wouldn’t slurping on a typical milkshake or indulging in a calorie-induced dessert. Impressively, there’s a range of alcoholic beverages to add to your experience. For example, select between nine whimsical cocktails such as rum-infused The Tropical Karen or The City Karen with vodka, to name a few. And get this: real Karen’s will get a free drink if they show ID.
