It is rare to find a sauna as a gay hangout worldwide, so count your lucky stars that this one still exists in Christchurch. 4. Bears Christchurch
So this isn’t exactly a hangout. But it is a support group dedicated to celebrating gay men, of all ages and sizes, and those alike. They organise regular events such as drinks nights and coffee dates for everyone in the group to have some fun together and get to know one another. Known for producing an awesome variety of live shows from comedy and drag to burlesque, poetry and more…it’s the perfect space to hangout with beer while and have a laugh with your mates. Likewise, it’s comfortable and affordable for those on a budget.
